During the meeting, participants discussed key issues regarding the progress of technical and institutional cooperation among the participating countries within the framework of the electricity market integration project. One of the main topics was the discussion of the latest proposal by the EU Agency for the Cooperation of Energy Regulators (ACER) on the definition of Capacity Calculation Regions (CCR).

Representatives from the participating countries, including Albania, emphasized the importance of further coordination with the Transmission System Operators (TSOs) to support the update of capacity calculation methodologies across regional bidding zone borders in Southeast Europe (SEE).

The meeting also reviewed developments on the participation in the Italian initiative “Italian Borders Working Table (IBWT)” and the progress in aligning national legislation with the EU energy market integration framework in Albania, Kosovo, and North Macedonia.

This important regional initiative strengthens the integration of energy markets, paving the way for a more transparent, efficient, and competitive market, in line with European directives.

In conclusion, participants reaffirmed their commitment to continuing cooperation toward building an integrated, sustainable, and efficient electricity market across the region.
