ALPEX and Nord Pool Launch Strategic Cooperation for Market Growth and Regional Integration
We had the pleasure of hosting an event on 3 September 2026 to present our cooperation with Nord Pool, the new service provider for ALPEX’s trading and clearing platforms.
During the event, Sokol Dishnica, CEO of ALPEX, and Tom Darell, CEO of Nord Pool, presented the vision for this cooperation and the next steps ahead.
This cooperation marks a new chapter in the development of the electricity market in Albania and Kosovo, building on Nord Pool’s extensive experience.
It will support the introduction of new products, including a 15-minute Market Time Unit in both the Day-Ahead and Intraday Markets. Nord Pool’s expertise and support will also contribute to ALPEX’s further integration into regional and European electricity markets.
We extend our sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Energy of Albania, the Ministry of Economy of Kosovo, the respective regulatory authorities, ERE and ZRrE, as well as OST sh.a.-Operatori i Sistemit të Transmetimit, KOSTT, Exchange Members and General Clearing Members, for joining us on this occasion and for their continued cooperation and contribution to the development of ALPEX and the regional electricity market.
