How to become a Clearing Member
The clearing of Transactions in ALPEX Markets, is carried out between ALPEX and its Clearing Members.
There are two types of Clearing Members.
- Direct Clearing Members are Exchange Members who clear only their own transactions.
- General Clearing Members are Banks who undertake the clearing of transactions of the Exchange Members.

Process for accession as a Clearing Member
Details about the accession process are presented in Technical Decision No. 1-C of ALPEX.
First Stage
Submission and Approval of the "Application"
Fill the Application and KYC Forms and submit your application to the ALPEX (support@alpex.al).
After approval of the application then the Clearing Member should;
a) Submit a copy of the payment of the Accession Fee and Annual Fee and other charges depending on whether the capacity of Direct Clearing Member or General Clearing Member is being requested,
b) Signing the Clearing Framework Agreement

Second Stage
Preparation and Activation of the Clearing Member in EMCS
To be activated, as a Clearing Member you must first deposit the initial contribution to the Default Fund for the capacity of the Clearing Member and submit all relevant information..

Third Stage
Become a Certified Clearer
For the purpose of certification of the professional competence of employees of the Clearing Member, must be issued the Certificate for the Certified Clearer "CCC".
After receiving the CCC the Certified Clearer will have access to Energy Market Clearing System (EMCS) for the Clearing of Transactions in the ALPEX Market.
Each Clearing Member must have appointed at least one (1) Certified Clearer or more than one (1) depending on its activity.
Apply for the Certified Clearer Certificate "CCC".
